Barbati & Badi

Ingredients

250 gm Barbati chopped
1 boiled aloo peeled and chopped
1 big tomato grated
2 cloves of lahsun grated
1/2 inch pc of adrak grated
5-6 pcs of udad badi crushed to small pcs
1/2 inch pc of tej patta
1 tsp jeera
1 tsp dhania powder
1/2 tsp haldi
1/1 tsp lal mirch
3-4 tsp oil
Salt to taste

Process


In a bowl mix tomato, lahsun, adrak, haldi, mirch and dhania powder, add little water (1/4 cup ) to make a paste
Heat oil in a kadahi and fry the badi to golden colour and keep aside
Add jeera and tej patta to the remaining oil
Allow it to splutter
Add the masala paste and fry for 2 min
Add aloo, barbati, badi and salt
Mix well and add 1/2 cup warm water
Cover and keep on low flame till the veg is cooked
Serve hot with phulka, paratha, lachcha paratha
