Bharva-Mirch

Ingredients

6-7 hari mirch
1Tsp dhania powder
1 Tsp rai ki dal (coarsely grind rai and remove the peel)
1/2 tsp hing
1/2 tsp salt
1tsp khatta dahi

Process

Wash the mirchi
Make a longitudnal cut and deseed it
Mix dhania powder, rai ki dal, hing and salt
Add  dahi  and mix
Stuff this masala in the mirhi
Dry it in bright sun for 3-4 days
Store in an air tight container
Deep fry and serve with hot khichadi

Cucumber Koshimbir

Ingredients

  • 1 kheera
  • 1 hari mirch
  • 2 Tsp groundnut powder (dry roast mungphali, remove the peel, grind coarsely)
  • Pinch of sugar (optional)
  • 1/2 tsp lemon juice
  • Salt to taste

Process

  • Peel the kheera and taste it (sometimes it might be bitter)
  • Finely chop the kheera and mirch
  • Add groundnut powder, sugar, salt and lemon juice.
  • Mix well.
  • A tasty and healthy salad.
  • Serve with meals.
  • Specially served with vrat items.

Koshimbir / Salad

Ingredients

1 Carrot (gajar)
1 Radish (muli)
1 Onion (pyaj)
1 Green chilii (hari mirch)
1 Beet root (chukander)
2 Tomatoes (tamater)
1 Table spoon finely chopped coriander (hara dhania)
1 Tea spoon lemon juice
Pinch of sugar
1/2 tea spoon haldi
1/2 Tea spoon lal mirch
1 Tea spoon oil
1/2 Tea spoon mustard seeds (rai)
Pinch of asafoetida (hing)
Salt to taste

Process

Grate gajar, muli, chukander.
Finely chop pyaj, tamater, hari mirach and hara dhania.
Mix all the veggies, sprinkle haldi and mirch on it.
Hea oil, add rai and hing and pour on the salad.
Add sugar, salt and hara dhania.
Mix and serve in lunch and dinner.
